Alps Epic Trail – Switzerland's longest single trail

Then it's off – and how! On the Alps Epic Trail, the longest single trail in Switzerland, the tour leads to the Walser settlement of Sertig, 700 metres lower in altitude. The upper part of the route is peppered with technically demanding sections, whereas you can expect a lot of flow in the lower part. After the varied first section, the first refreshment awaits you at the Walserhuus Sertig.

When you arrive in Sertig Dörfli, you pass the typical Walser settlement with the little church "Hinter den Eggen" built in 1699, before the rustic Walserhuus Sertig awaits you at the back of the valley. Situated at the foot of Mittagshorn, Plattenflue and Hochducan, the restaurant offers a unique backdrop. Enjoy the view and recharge your batteries with an original Grisons nut cake and drinks, so that you are ready for the subsequent ascent.

Continuing on the Alps Epic Trail, the next section leads you up approximately 250 metres of altitude to Äbirugg. Along this stretch you can compete with other participants and special guests. So put your feet on the pedals – lunch is already waiting!

Lunch Time – Restaurant Jatzmeder

After reaching Äbirugg, a pleasant path leads to the Rinerhorn mountain station. Right next to it you will find the Jatzmeder restaurant with its inviting sun terrace. Let yourself be delighted by the grill chef and enjoy delicious meat kebabs. Served with grilled potatoes with sour cream sauce, grilled corn and potato gratin. In addition to soft drinks, you can also try the local Monsteiner Munggabier.

The last section leads from the Rinerhorn over a beautiful single trail to the Walser settlement of Monstein. There you will find one of the most beautifully situated breweries in Europe. The Monsteiner beer specialities are brewed from crystal-clear spring water, Swiss hops and local mountain barley malt from Gran Alpin. Taste the different types of beer before heading back to Davos from Monstein. In the event village of the ÖKK BIKE REVOLUTION, the finisher drink will give you fresh energy again.
